Faith Families
At St. Peter Martyr School, we are proud to offer the Faith Family Program, a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of Catholic doctrine and faith in a down-to-earth, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. In our Faith Families, students from different grade levels come together to form a tight-knit community centered around their shared faith.
Led by our dedicated faculty and Faith Family teachers, our weekly sessions cover a wide range of topics, from Catholic doctrines and saint days to discussions on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Each lesson is carefully crafted to instill a sense of rootedness in our SPM community, fostering a deep connection to our Catholic identity and values.
One of the highlights of our program is attending Mass together as a Faith Family, where students learn the rich traditions of the Catholic liturgy and participate actively in the celebration. These experiences not only deepen their understanding of the Mass but also strengthen their bond as a faith community.
In our Faith Families, older students serve as leaders and mentors to their younger buddies, guiding them on their faith journey and setting positive examples for them to follow. Through this mentorship, younger students not only grow in their faith but also develop their curiosity and understanding alongside their peers and student role models.
Our Faith Family Program is more than just a class – it's a community where students feel a sense of belonging, where they can grow spiritually, develop their prayer life, and apply the teachings of their faith to their day-to-day lives. Together, we study, pray, and support one another, nurturing our hearts, minds, and souls as we journey together in faith.
