Admissions Process
The admissions team looks forward to reviewing your application materials. We are confident that your child and family will be a wonderful addition to our school community. Students shall be admitted to St. Peter Martyr School if they have a reasonable, well founded hope of successfully completing the school’s program, provided there is space available.
Age Requirements
All admission candidates desiring acceptance in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, or First Grade must meet the following age requirements:
- Preschool age 3 on or before September 1
- Pre-Kindergarten age 4 on or before September 1
- Kindergarten age 5 on or before September 1
- First Grade age 6 on or before September 1
The following priorities are considered when accepting students for available openings:
- Siblings of students currently enrolled
- Practicing Catholic families
- Alumni
Assessment Process
In addition to reviewing a complete application, our school conducts an assessment of the child, according to their educational background and special needs. This process ensures that the child is placed in the appropriate grade level, so that we can best meet your child’s educational needs.
Students with Special Needs
Admission of transfer students with special needs will be dependent upon the school program’s ability to meet these needs. If a child was enrolled in another school, he or she may be placed in a lower grade as age appropriate, at the discretion of the school.
Non-discrimination Policy
Lumen Christi Academies welcome students of any race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to all students in our schools.
