Principal's Welcome

Welcome! It is an honor and blessing to invite you to learn more about our St. Peter Martyr School community. St. Peter Martyr School serves students from Preschool through Eighth Grade. Our school first opened its doors in January 1950 and is celebrating 70 years of a tradition of preparing children to be God-centered, socially aware citizens, effective communicators, and lifelong learners. We welcome and educate a culturally diverse population from Pittsburg and surrounding communities as well as from various parishes and faiths who embrace the mission and philosophy of St. Peter Martyr School.

St. Peter Martyr School is a community of learners and believers. You, the parents, are the primary educators of your children. Our goal is to support you as we strive to help children become lifelong learners and develop a sense of human dignity, freedom, and hopefulness. St. Peter Martyr School offers a well-rounded academic program that prioritizes each child’s unique gifts and abilities. Our small school environment fosters relational and enriching experiences that promote the development of the whole child with compassion and integrity. As a Catholic school we share the vision of Jesus Christ calling all members of St. Peter Martyr School to be God-centered persons. Our education promotes the values of faith, hope, reconciliation, courage, service, justice, and love.

St. Peter Martyr School has a long history of supporting and receiving support from the community. We encourage you to join with our students, parents, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends as together we develop responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and servant leaders.

With gratitude and blessings,

Mrs. Katie Wilson, Principal
