The St. Peter Martyr Middle School (5th–8th grades) is rooted in our mission to nurture a community of lifelong learners anchored in faith, hope, and love. Students learn in a departmentalized structure with subject-specific teachers for Science, History, Math, and Religion. Middle schoolers participate in weekly chapel Mass or Faith Families, supporting their spiritual growth and helping them live out our Catholic values in community.
Our ELA program blends whole-group instruction with leveled classes in grades 5–7. Students are placed into one of two ELA groups based on STAR and i-Ready data at the beginning of the year, and placements are reviewed each trimester to ensure they are challenged appropriately and taught at their level.
Across all subjects, our program prepares students for the rigor of high school while strengthening their communication skills, responsibility, and independence. With an average class size of 17, teachers are able to provide individualized attention and support.
On Wednesdays, students participate in elective classes of their choice—teacher-led activities that change throughout the year—giving them opportunities to explore interests, build confidence, and develop new skills.
